Dang it, I wrote like 1000 words last night and tried to post it and the goddamn session had logged out. So, quick recap because I hate writing shit twice. First, on a cute note, at the Rocky Horror Picture Show event, a girl came up to me and said, "I know you get this all the time, but can I get a picture with you?" I was like, "Do you even know who I am?" And she said, "Duh, you're Bella Bazooka!" AWW! I said, "Actually, that has never happened to me!" lol But it was very sweet, she tagged me on Facebook and everything. We also got a new advertiser, please welcome Tammy Sills of Studio 7 to the Bazooka Harem. Her little shop next to Etcetera has handmade rugs, Pride gifts, and the best cake soap EVAR. I personally love the lilac and chocolate, and at $3 a bar, it would make a great Xmas gift for all yer friends. I'm also going to be doing a Best of Paducah - even though I have a feeling it's going to piss everyone off. The salons and tattoo parlors will be catfighting in no time. But, it will be readers choice, and you will have to put your name and some info on it, so hopefully that will discourage cheating lol. I had thought about doing it for a while, but Tony Foo Yong kind of spurred me on with the suggestion that it might generate some ad dollars. I want to do all the usual stuff, like best TV and radio personality and Mexican restaurant, best beer or wine selection, best place to find vintage clothes, but I also want to do fun stuff like best place to lose your virginity and best place to redneck people watch and best place to get shot by a crack or meth head. (7th St or Farley). So ya'll help me think of some fun stuff, and we'll put it in the next issue and just have it where people can tear the page out and turn them in to local advertisers/supporters like Mother Duncan's, Fat Moe's, Crash Comics, Roof Bros and Karson's. Places where people will most likey sit and drink and fill it out. I'm so excited! I think it will be a great issue, and I'm already thinking of Christmas gifts that are inexpensive and you can buy locally. Of course, I have about a week to write all this shit, so if anyone wants to help - let me know! |
