Hey everyone! Welcome to Bazooka, the warm and fuzzy brainchild of a few locals who feel like this town is ready for a magazine that kicks a little ass. Sometimes we might feel like being cynical, smart-ass hipsters (people we often want to punch in the face) and other times we might feel like being exuberant, child-like, geeky goofballs (people we also sometimes want to punch in the face.)

In Bazooka you can read about everything from the history of Paducah’s brothels to some to reviews of some of the best local fun stuff, like the Roller Derby girls and hot chick singers. We also have bitter rants on the state of modern boyfriends (and their stupid beards and video game headsets) and our own little love and lust advice column, appropriately titled Sex in the Sticks.

We strive for balance, and hope to bring something a little cool to the local publishing palette. Our staff and writers are regular people with a broad range of experience. Some of us have good jobs and kids, we have traveled abroad and are invested in our community, we are educated and love our kitschy, redneck roots. Give us a chance…and if you love what we’re doing, let us know. If you hate it, let us know. And if you think it’s the best thing since BBQ, fried Twinkies, and Pabst Blue Ribbon… then pass it on.
